Further details: Khao Soi Dao waterfall & wildlife sanctuary
Khao Soi Dao Wildlife Sanctuary and Khao Khitchakut National Park, are respectively 745sq km and 59sq km but together protect the last area of montane and submontane evergreen forest in the East, with granite hills rising to over 1,000m. Khao Soi Dao is a source of many streams and waterfalls such as Nam Tok Khao Soi Dao. This 15 level waterfall is very beautiful and suitable for relaxing. It is also an important bird watching site for Indochinese montane birds. There are over 50 confirmed bird species, including blue rumped pitta; mountain fulvetta; a darker, local species of silver pheasant; Asian fairy-bluebird; short tailed or eastern green magpie; and chestnut headed partridge. Khao Soi Dao protects the largest population, maybe 1,000 pairs, of pileated gibbon from the clutches of cutesy, ignorant, affluent pet owners who, alas, are not an endangered species.

Swimming with dolphins
Swimming with dolphins is something most people dream of doing, but somehow only a few actually pursue this dream. Although this may be true in the massive over crowded Sea World and aqua parks in the USA, the Bahamas, Mexico or other busy tourist locations, this 'swim with dolphins' dream can easily be turned into reality in the picturesque costal town of Laem Sing in Chanthaburi province, Eastern Thailand.

Wat Khao Sukim
Wat Khao Sukim temple in rural Chanthaburi province which is one of the greatest well-kept secrets of Thailand. Wat Khao Sukim has an astonishing great hall containing many thousands of collected Buddha statues of all sizes, styles and colours; other beautiful temple buildings, statues, and gardens; a peaceful and lovely rural mountain-top atmosphere; a long beautiful dragon-banister staircase alongside a picturesque cable tram car line; great rows of large peaceful Buddha statues lining the entrance area, and panoramic views out over the province. Many people come to the temple which is a well known meditation centre.
