Himmaphan

The Himmaphan luxury villa is set in beautiful tranquil grounds on the west coast of Phuket, just 5 minutes stroll to Bang Tao beach and near to the 5 star development of Laguna hotels and Banyan Tree golf course. With 8 bedrooms it is currently the largest villa on the island open to guests, ideal for a party of friends or family groups.

Named after the mystical Himmaphan forest from Thai mythology, the property reflects the relaxing architecture of Northern Thai Style with the accommodation generously spaced around a large 60 sq. m. Ying-Yang blue tiled pool. A sala for relaxing outdoors is provided next to the pool and a spacious terrace provides the ideal setting for outdoor entertaining.

In the main building the living areas have granite flooring with quality furnishings throughout including beautiful paintings and artefacts all of the highest quality enhancing the tranquil ambiance. A large open kitchen is located between the living area and media room. The lounges and dining area provide excellent facilities for relaxation or entertaining and enjoy the latest in HiFi, DVD and satellite 42 inch flat screen TV facilities. For guests who need to stay connected with the outside world, a 24-hour internet and fax service is available. International calls can be made from anywhere within the villa.

The six ground floor villa bedrooms, each with a king size bed and en-suite bathroom, including full size bath plus shower, have their own distinct colour scheme featuring Jim Thompson silks, are arranged in symmetry around the swimming pool. Large glass doors open into the garden filling the room with the freshening aroma of frangipani and lean palm trees. The decor in every room varies, with materials carefully chosen to evoke individual character and feeling. Cooling marble floors are decorated with carpets from China, tatami-like mats and colourful rugs, while practical furniture of rattan or teak wood complement the King-size bed, which acts as the room's centre piece.

To accommodate varying tastes in style, some rooms have a contemporary character, whilst others are more traditional.

The two upstairs bedrooms with balcony, above the main living area, have a more modest décor and share the use of a fully equipped bathroom including bathtub and shower.

The villa staff pride themselves on providing friendly and attentive service and include a cook, driver, house maid and gardener. Breakfast is served at a time to suit guests, either in the bedroom or on the terrace over looking the pool. Other meals can also be provided to match guests choice of menu (24 hrs notice). All produce is purchased fresh from the local market and charged at cost.

In-house massage can be arranged, either in the privacy of guest rooms or on the sala over looking the pool.

Like the nobility of Thai lore, guests emerge from a stay at this contemporary Himmaphan wearing big smiles and feeling completely destressed.

Location
Himmaphan is located close by to Bangtao Beach and the luxury hotel complex of the Laguna area. An array of top class restaurants and bars are just 5 minutes drive away as are Surin and Lamsaeng beaches. Patong, the nightlife area of the island is only 20 minutes drive to the south.
