A journey of 3 days/2 nights
Wednesday – Chiang Mai: Departs 17:30 In the afternoon the Eastern & Oriental Express will leave Chiang Mai. You will journey a country renowned for its colourful and rich history evident in its architecture. After having tea relax in your private compartment before a gourmet dinner will be served in one of the restaurant cars. Enjoy a drink at the bar car before retiring.
Thursday - Swankhaloke & Lampang: Arrives 08:30. Have breakfast in your compartment before the train arrives at Sawankhaloke where coaches are waiting to take you to SiSatchanalai, which is part of the northernmost citadel of the ancient Khmer empire. Discover the impressive Bhuddhist temples dating back to the 13th century. At Sila At you will reboard the Eastern & Oriental Express for lunch whilst continuing to journey Thailand. When arriving mid afternoon at the charming village of Lampang horse-drawn carriages will take you to Baan Sao Nok "the house of many pillars". Have tea as you visit the house which is built in traditional Lanna Thai style and supported on 116 teak pillars. Back on the E&O prepare for dinner on board and overnight. Departs Sila 11:30 - Reboard the E&O. Arrive Lampang 15:25. Pony cart ride and tea and teak house. Depart Lampang 17:30.
Friday - Bangkok: Arrives 09:30. After enjoying your breakfast including freshly baked croissants the Eastern & Oriental Express will arrive into Bangkok again.
