Tuesday: Departs 14:00 Bangkok, Hualampong. In the afternoon the E&O departs Bangkok. Relax in your private cabin or have a visit to the sumptuously decorated bar cars or saloon car. While travelling into Northeastern Thailand the traditional afternoon tea is served and later in the evening a delicious dinner is served. In the meantime your steward transformed your compartment into a comfortable bedroom, but why not enjoying some cocktails at the bar car before retiring?

Wednesday: Arrives 09:00 Hin Dat. Visit of the ancient Khmer ruins in Phimai. Before the Eastern & Oriental Express arrives at Hin Dat, the breakfast including freshly baked croissants is served in your compartment. From Hin Dat the tour for Phimai starts which is one of the most important monuments of the old Khmer kingdom in Thailand. After visiting this World Heritage Site a delightful lunch is served on board the E&O. Departs Hin Dat 11:30. Arrives Kho Yai 18:00. Tour to vineyards including tasting of New Latitude Wines. In the afternoon the train arrives in Khao Yai, where you disembark for a visit of local vineyards and a tasting of the New Latitude Wines. Dinner and overnight on board. Thursday: Arrives Nong Khai 08:30. Transfer by coach across the Friendship Bridge to Vientiane and back. Sightseeing tour and lunch in Vientiane..In the morning after breakfast the E&O arrives in Nong Khai, where some coaches are waiting to take you over the Mekong river to Vientiane, the fascinating capital of Laos. Laos Immigration will be easy for special arrangements have been made. A full day's tour will provide you with lots of impressions of Vientiane. Lunch is served at a local hotel. Vientiane, which is the capital of Laos, is a city of contrasts where gilded Asian temples sit alongside French colonial architecture. In late afternoon you will return to the Eastern & Oriental Express by coach and depart Nong Khai. Your final dinner gives you the opportunity to exchange stories of the day's discoveries with fellow guests. Overnight on board. Departs Nong Khai 17:00.

Friday: Arrives Bangkok (Hualampong) 09:30. In the morning after breakfast the E&O arrives in back in Bangkok, the City of Angels.
