Itinerary
A journey of 4 days/3 nights

Tuesday - Bangkok: Departs 14:00. In the afternoon the E&O departs Hualampong station Bangkok. Relax in your private cabin or have a visit to the sumptuously decorated bar cars or saloon car. While travelling into Northeastern Thailand the traditional afternoon tea is served and later in the evening a delicious dinner is served. In the meantime your steward transformed your compartment into a comfortable bedroom, but why not enjoying some cocktails at the bar car before retiring?

Wednesday – Phimai, Khao Yai: Arrives 08:30 Hin Dat.. The train arrives at Hin Dat station after breakfast. Here you will disembark for a tour to Phimai, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most important Khmer monuments in Thailand. Return to the E&O for lunch as you continue your journey on to the picturesque Khao Yai valley. Here you visit a local vineyard and have the opportunity to taste wines that are being called "New Latitude Wines". Reboard the train in the early evening in time to prepare for dinner. Overnight on board. Departs Kho Yai 18:20.

Thursday Nong Khai, Vientiane: Arrives Nong Khai 08:30.. After breakfast, the E&O will cross the Mekong River via the Friendship Bridge and enter Laos for the very first time. Enjoy a full day's tour of Vientiane including lunch at the historic Settha Palace Hotel. Capital of Laos, Vientiane is a city of contrasts where French colonial architecture sits alongside gilded Asian temples. Return to the train by coach and depart late afternoon, returning to Thailand again across the Friendship Bridge. Exchange stories of the day's discoveries with fellow guests over your final dinner. Overnight on board. Departs Nong Khai 17:30.

Friday-Bangkok: Arrives 09:30. In the morning after breakfast served in your compartment the E&O arrives back in Bangkok, the City of Angels.
