Baan Kata

Baan Kata Villa is located in an elevated position on the headland at the southern end of Kata between the two pristine beaches of Kata and Kata Noi ; facing directly west and looking out to the Andaman Sea horizon there are memorable views and sunsets to enjoy that will take your breath away. Pu island also comes into the vista clearly visible in the centre of Kata bay.

In early December each year guests at Baan Kata also have the opportunity of a birds eye view of the Kings Cup Regatta which is held to celebrate His Majesty The King of Thailand's birthday, the event usually producing an awe inspiring array of sailing boats which moor up in the bay.

Many would argue that this is the best location on Phuket; private and secluded whilst also being within walking distance of everything you need, and set between two of the best beaches on the island , the ideal retreat for a tranquil and undisturbed holiday break.

This wonderful and interesting property designed by the architect and local celebrity, Mom Tri Devakul, provides exotic living facilities and amenities on two levels, featuring a distinct set of rooms for the master of the house.

Level 1
The 20' x 12' swimming pool, with its sandstone deck and traditional Siam style Sala set on the cliff top, seating up to 8 people, creates the main visual ambiance of this luxury dwelling providing a tranquil area between the fountain above , and the water cascade down to the lower level mini-pool and Jacuzzi. There are fully furnished dining areas both inside and on the outside veranda, as well as a modern kitchen.

The master bedroom suite comprises a bedroom separated from the main services building with a high four-poster bed, en-suite bathroom with sunken tub and walk-in shower, and adjoining study equipped with computer, scanner, printer and fax machine. The bedroom also enjoys a relaxing view across the infinity pool, seemingly as one with the blue Andaman Sea beyond.

Level 2
This level includes a mini pool and Jacuzzi plus four bedrooms. The main guest bedroom is private and separated from the other outbuildings as on level one, and also enjoys a large en-suite bathroom with sunken tub. The third and fourth bedrooms have twin single beds with shared bathroom and the fifth bedroom is designed to be used as either twin single beds or reconfigured into one double bed. An en-suite bathroom is connected to this last bedroom.

Additional Features: Air-conditioning in all rooms. Telephones in master bedroom, study, dining room and kitchen. Satellite TV plus UBC (local multi-national service, 33 channels). with video player in study and level 2 children's room. Music system with speakers in master bedroom, dining areas and Sala. A portable DVD player is also provided which usually finds a home in the study.

Security: Securicor provide 24 hr vigilance of the whole site.

Getting There
Getting to and from Kata consumes limited travel time by automobile with the shopping facilities of Phuket town and tourist area attractions of Patong being less than a 20 minute drive, and Phuket International Airport just 45 minutes away.
